Madison County Wood Products Plant Tour

We exhibited at the Midwest Forest Products Show in Cape Girardeau at the beginning of the month. For us, the highpoint of the show was the plant tour through Madison County Wood Products in Fredricktown, Missouri.
We weren’t able to be a part of the whole tour, which included a few other stops. However, we were able to connect with the tour at MCWP. After handing out safety equipment, Doug Gaines one of the founders of MCWP gave the introduction in which he talked about their operation and the various products they use including PalMateERP. He then led everyone through their impressive facility narrating the tour as he went along. The various stops along the tour of MCWP were their heating treating operation, Pallet Assembly area, and their sawline area. The facility was large and diverse. I was particularly impressed with the number of logs they keep in inventory as well as the crane that handles them.
If you ever have a chance to meet the folks at MCWP or visit their facility, I highly recommend it!
“Madison County Wood Products was incorporated in 1981, by founding partners James C. Kesting and Douglas J. Gaines. With this partnership, they were able to combine over a generation of individual experience. As customers had grown and delivery schedules became more demanding, the partnership seemed natural to meet the increasing challenges of a changing industry. They began using PalMateERP as a beta customer several years ago and are still using it in their day to day operations. They continue to be very happy with it.”
